FURNITURE DESIGN

 

 

Kim Young-Sub designed his first items of furniture while thinking of the general design of some projects.

After qualification, as a young architect, the design of artefacts took on a fairly important role in his office and he designes pieces of furniture for various clients mostly for the interior of religious spaces.

 

Already at the end of the 1990, he started to investigate the latest trends in the architectural field and modern international furniture design. His renovation projects mostly demand a fully furnished design, entirely made by a collaboration with his korean traditional craftmen.

 

Kim Young-Sub's modern furniture is essentially linked with inventions about projecting differently the essence of each material and carrying out its benefits. Reinventing certain design concepts by seeking a particular function.

According to Kim Young Sub's design principles, the interior design and furnishings have to be in harmony with the architectural style and aura of the building.
